The People Who Treat You Badly and What to Do About It // Tea with Robin Podcast Episode 35

Posted Posted in Media, Tea with Robin

What do you do about the people who don’t treat you right? How do we not go to kookytown getting so upset and handle what we need to handle without throwing ourselves under the bus? In this episode, I’m talking about all the scenarios–from strangers to friends to family members, and share ideas on what to do with your upset and how to not let it ruin your day. Today’s inspiration comes from Mr. Joel Osteen who gave me one of the best quotes ever. This week’s letter comes from… …Read More »

Honoring what is (vs. pushing the plan)

honoring what is

I woke up this morning with my goals in mind Meditate, do my practices, eat yummy breakfast, take a walk, work a little in the garden and then write this week’s post (I was going to tell you about the wildest miracle manifesting story I have ever experienced firsthand), then see some awesome clients in the afternoon, and then dinner with my husband. Fun day, full day, packed day, busy day. No time for deviations – just stick to the plan day. And then I got the email. A very… …Read More »

Love with a Backbone

Robin Hallett Poetry Collection

I have no interest in adding any more darkness in the world. I will not contribute to the anger, the meanness. I’m not interested in dissonance. Don’t talk to me about all the a*holes who are making things worse for the world. Instead, tell me what YOU are doing to be a force for good. Tell me what you’re doing to contribute something helpful. Love is my dharma and I will practice this wherever I go. In times like these I ask myself the following: Can I keep abreast of… …Read More »

Let Yourself off the Hook. Do Whatever You Want. Let Go.

Let Yourself off the Hook. Do Whatever You Want. Let Go. How to not lose it when things go wrong.

Or, what to do when you’re in a funk and you can’t make yourself do anything “productive” and you just wanna hang it all up and head for the coast but you’re scared that this will mean the end. I’m drinking coffee and reading Stephen King. The windows are open, I’m listening to crickets and the smell of smell of fresh cut grass fills the kitchen. The yumminess of this takes me back to a time when I had no responsibilities and life felt pretty easy. I take a beat… …Read More »

This Is What I Can Do. on the Deaths of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade.

Posted Posted in The Journey

I heard the news about Anthony Bourdain. I read about Kate Spade earlier this week. My heart feels heavy. Suicide is never easy. One of my first intuitive hits I can recall happened I was 7 years old. Alone in the house at night. And it just came to me that my aunt had committed suicide. I knew was true. It was so clear, the energy passing through me. I was terrified and I wasn’t even sure I understood what it all meant. The phone rang several times but I was afraid… …Read More »

Release the Elephants! How to Avoid Family Drama During the Holidays

Here’s how to shift your perspective and let go of the upsets family drama can bring. Especially now at this time of year when things seem particularly challenging. Nothing brings on the elephants like a holiday season. (do you know that saying, the elephant in the living room?) The elephant stands there in the middle of the room while people gather around and pretend it isn’t there. The elephant seems to be blowing a trumpet of truth and discomfort and sometimes even leaves you yukky “presents” on the floor… but… …Read More »

Me Too, Wooboo.

Me too, wooboo.

Hello, sweet Friend, I am sending you some love and a bit of magic — the kind that is peaceful and sweet and knows just where it’s needed most. This has been a big week. Yikes, it feels like I’ve been saying that to you a lot lately. I thought about not writing to you about Me Too this week. I have this little issue with not wanting to be a downer in my letters to you. I get scared to ruin the party sometimes and I don’t want people fleeing… …Read More »

You Can’t Start With YUCK and Expect to Get YUM

You Can

Alright, my friend, it is GO time. We seriously need to talk about the amount of energy we’re investing in the YUCK experience as a whole. I know there are lots of things going on in the world which are yucky. We don’t really need to name names, do we? You know what’s happening. I know what’s happening. And anyway, we have something much more important to discuss: That gorgeous head of yours and all the thoughts you keep thinking. I’m talking about The Negative Stuff, in particular. And you… …Read More »

The Crack Where the Light Gets In

The Crack Where The Light Gets In by Robin Hallett

I’ve been spending a lot of time in quiet. Trying to get my bearings, waiting for the ride to slow. I’m reminding myself to breathe, to soften. Giving myself the little extras. I keep asking: Why am I so upset? Part of me is surprised to be feeling this way. As if it’s a problem, an inconvenience. As if some part of me is difficult because I am functioning at less than 100%. And yet, here I am. I can feel there’s this invisible thing I’m trying to find. So… …Read More »

Sending Love and Light to Orlando and Everyone Everywhere

how to send love and light

I wish it was never the case that we suffer tragedy. Truly, I wish that we could find a way to be at peace–especially with each other when we disagree. That the energy of love and respect be there always–especially in how we choose to respond to horrible things people do. Sometimes my friends say I am a truth teller. And usually when they do, there is this little feeling of shame inside and a voice that says yeah but I am always afraid, (always afraid) to talk about my… …Read More »

Love is the Medicine

love is the medicine

I woke up this morning to hear the news about the bombings in Brussels. I stopped what I was doing, took a deep centering breath, placed my hands on my heart and prayed. I asked that everyone involved, touched, connected to this happening be surrounded in light. I asked that the suffering would be eased, and the healing take place. I asked that the highest and best possible outcome for all concerned happen now. And then I turned off the TV and began sending love. Whenever I thought about Brussels,… …Read More »

Rainbow suspenders are forever, Robin

for Robin Williams dealing with grief

My friend texted me to say Robin Williams had taken his own life. Nanu nanu, she said. Rainbow suspenders forever, I said. This amazing, bright, shining, funny man who delighted the world has decided to leave on his own terms. We don’t really know what happened, but for sure it is shockingly sad to hear the news. Sad to imagine how his wife and family are doing. Wherever Robin is now, he gets it. He understands. Death is an experience for the living. We’re the ones experiencing that shock… …Read More »

The Ego has landed! How to stop feeling upset and wake up from the nightmare

Posted 21 CommentsPosted in Intuitive Healing

There are days when I just want to yell it from the rooftops: the ego has landed, people!  I had a late night call from a friend over the weekend. She was coming unraveled. Telling me her story, I could hear how it made sense… and yet, she seemed wild, outraged, ready to lynch someone. The level of her upset did not match the situation she was describing. The ego had landed. We all have an ego. Nobody is exempt. Except maybe Jesus or Buddha. Just kidding! They talked about… …Read More »
