The ego upset and its stinky voice may never go away but we don’t need to freak! Here’s how we deal and love ourselves through it.

Hello, sweet friend!
Seriously, it feels like I need to shout out a little VULNERABILITY ALERT for this episode! Hopefully, as you listen along (see the link below) you will realize that you are never the only one who struggles with that voice in your head.
In today’s episode, I am sharing about my own insomnia and anxiety. And how my writing a vulnerable letter to the Love Posse brought it up even more ( and you are cordially invited to join our Posse here ).
Of course, you’re gonna be nervous when you do stuff like this, but I always say to make it the policy to be yourself and share your light. And every time you show up as yourself, you help other people 🙂
The ego voice can latch onto us and start to freak us out. It is always looking for ground, trying to find a way in.
The ego is tricky.
It is there, reading your spiritual books with you, attending your healing sessions, looking for opportunities to work its dark magic in the language of your spiritual learnings, too.
We need to know that the ego is not our true self.
The ego can be defined in many ways, but I especially appreciate A Course in Miracles definition from Chapter 2:
C-2.2. What is the ego? 2 Nothingness, but in a form that seems like something. C-2.3.
The voice of upset may never go away, but we don’t have to freak — we just need to know what that is the voice of NOTHING and keep moving.
Your mind is the wildest storyteller! You need to know that, it is telling stories. Ego mind is the storyteller, and this is not you.
Ego is trying so hard to sabotage, to get you to quit, to get you to believe you are a stinker. But how could you ever be a stinker? You are awesome and so loved!!
And this is why we need to speak about it together – so we know we are never the only ones! I am not the only one and you are not the only one, we are all a little bit kookoobird and that’s okay.
How to quiet the ego mind.
We all need to practice with this part of us. How can you practice? What can you include into your daily rituals so you regularly are providing yourself a space to align with the highest version of yourself and come out of ego?
I share lots of examples in the episode. Here are a few:
Practicing witnessing my thoughts.
Don’t regurgitate the old stories because they give you no juice. Consider why you tell the same one, and what comes from it – does it help you or hurt you?
I give my old stories a code word, so I don’t spend a lot of time on them. I went to the moon, and Jupiter and I am home again! OR, Raspberry beret!
ACIM I have A Course in Miracles practices here.
Be the adult in your life who shows up for you – Don’t go there, sweetie! We got this!
