I often wonder if more of us don’t choose to risk doing what we’d love because the fear of the unknown is just too great. I wonder sometimes if this is why I was always too broke or too busy to take the time or make the time… I see that pattern in my friends too. There’s always a really good sounding reason why we can’t. But we owe it to ourselves to ponder, are we really protecting our fear?
As I’ve learned to risk my significance and honor the things I want to try, I find there is a serious period of adjustment that happens–especially when I take a vacation. I book it imagining myself having the best time swimming in the lake, sitting around the campfire, watching old movies…but the reality is often much different, at first.
I am learning to remember that bumpy landings are part of any new experience.
As we adjust to the new adventure we seek, there can be anxiety or a bit of panic. But it’s not permanent and it doesn’t mean we’re doing anything wrong.
If we never take the leap, the miracle may never come.

I’m telling some stories about vacation with #1husband, and we have a great letter from a dear friend in the love posse about manifesting. Plus I’m sharing some of my best abundance raps. Cheers and a goofy toast with Robin. A special cheers to you moms and dads getting the kiddos ready and back to school. You’re amazing! Cheers. I hope you’re taking really great care of yourself as you take care of the littles, too.

Did you happen to hear Episode 53 where I talk about getting out in the world and doing the things you always say you’re gonna do?
What happens to us when we unplug? What happens when we actually take the time and make the time? And, I often wonder if this is why more of us don’t. Why we say we are, “too busy.”
I know for me there is a serious period of adjustment that happens. Especially when I take a vacation… I book it imagining myself having the best time, swimming in the lake, campfires, old movies like Roman Holiday.
When you plan out fun things like that you think it will be fabulous, right? BUT! Does it ever occur to us that there may be a rumbly landing? There may be a period of adjustment where you need to get used to your new adventure or whatever it is you’re doing.
Rumbly landings. Just like when a plane lands and it’s scary sometimes – but you have a perspective that it’s just the plane and you know it will be over soon.
I am learning to remember that this is part of my experience, a rumbly bumpy landing, and keep in mind that this may happen. Perhaps there will be anxiety or a bit of panic. But it’s not permanent and I haven’t done anything wrong.
Lots of parents know what this is like now as the school year is beginning now.
Could we learn to not freak out and understand this is just part of things?
There MAY be a bumpy landing as we move forward in the new thing we’re doing. What if we remembered this?
I have a little anxiety whenever things start to settle down. Just a bumpy landing… no big deal. But I forgot that’s what it was, and for 24 hours I really had a hard time.
From A Course in Miracles
There is no such thing as a small upset. All upset is equally disturbing to my peace of mind.
10:00
Your ego mind will look for things to be upset about and it will keep changing the channel. Have you noticed this? It will take your two top scary stories and keep serving them up to you. When you don’t take the hook, it keeps trying other stories. What if we could practice saying, hey kiddo, you’re going into a new thing today, a transition, and it doesn’t need to be a big thing.
It doesn’t need to become a major crisis.
Some people I know, experience one bout of anxiety or even a panic attack trying something new, and they say NEVER AGAIN. It’s so sad to me. And those are the people who become so stagnant in their lives.
So, you may want to ask yourself, How do I keep showing up in new situations and transitions? Do I show up with a bad attitude, or do I show up in my shine celebrating my choices?
Interestingly, even though I was feeling anxious and completely forgetting everything I am telling you here right now, I still could see that there was love and support all around me.
My friends sent me letters and funny memes, they didn’t know.
Another friend sent me the best song on Spotify by Ram Dass and East Forest here. I was able to practice because I listened to this.
So there I was in the middle of the night having a panic attack, and I remembered my friends, and the giggles from campfire times, and the song above and I could practice.
At first I was so stressed and I could not settle, but little by little, it got better. I mention this post – as I was saying to myself, exit the wheel! Get off the ride!

Can’t worry about people who judge us for talking openly about how we feel. It’s more about them than anything else.
Keep the perspective. You’re on a journey.
How beautifully things happen, there is support for us always.
Sometimes it is what it is.
And really, there’s nothing you can do but relax your body and breathe.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if we didn’t have to make it about us or make it our fault…
If we could say bumpy landing… instead of conjuring disaster stories. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves when there’s upset and panic.
What happens when you take the time for yourself and you experience anxiety as part of the unwinding?
It’s just a rumbly landing… it doesn’t have to be made more than that.

I share a bit about vacation. And Lake Baths, and fun campfire times. I mention Epsode 7 where I share about camping on Beaver Island.
One night we decided to make up some fun Abraham Hicks rampages of appreciation. We tried to riff as many times as we could about abundance. How cool is that that we as a couple do stuff like this, after 23 years?! We feel into the kind of laughter where I couldn’t catch my breath. Funny for no reason!
My favorite abundance rap:
Constant abundance flows like a dance. Filling my shoes, my shirt and my pants!

Amazon Forest Fire.
Unexplainable tragedies can have the strongest light – miracles.
I know it’s tough, but can we expect love and send love?
Even in the face of tragedy, we still have two choices — love or fear.
Do we consider the way we’re choosing to channel our energy in times like these? Are we sending love and encouragement from a centered place? What are we contributing to the world?
What are we adding when we share on social media when it’s scary, upsetting, or negative?
Are we centered in sending light, or are we centered in fear?
Remember that whatever we dole out, we receive. Buy one get one free.
Being a force of love in your community.
Never forget, that tragedy can and often does turn to a miracle. Deep contrast brings a lot into the world that’s powerfully aligned to the good.
We can always choose to remember to send light. How can we stand in our power and offer love and light?

I love Pema Chodron’s practice, Just Like Me.
Keep in mind that whatever you focus on expands.

I don’t do any of this perfectly. I do know that violence in my heart is not a good thing and when it gets activated for me I need to practice. We are all channeling way too many energies from outside us, we may not realize how much we need to dump the bucket.
Trust that if we never take the leap, the miracle will never come.

This week’s Inspiration: Abundance Rap
I mention Florence Scovell Shinn who has so many wonderful quotes!
Infinite spirit open the way for my great abundance, I am an irrisistible magnet for all that belongs to be my divine right. — FSS
Your word is your wand. The words you speak create your own destiny. Gratitude, appreciation, and joy are the law of increase. Complaining is the law of decrease. – FSS

This week’s letter: #cosmicdeli
Hi, Robin,
Yours is truly my favorite podcast, and I listen to quite a few. 😉
I’m really curious about manifesting. How long do we imagine our dream life vs. being present in our own life and enjoying life in the now? Also, when I get in a negative space, it doesn’t last long but it’s intense. Then I start to worry I’ve “set myself back” and get caught up worrying what I want won’t come as soon.
Also – when I shared with a friend about my hope to make my dream a reality, she answered in her own way, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” I remember what you said about taking responsibility for what is reflected back at us, and that’s helped me! “I believe it’s all going to work out perfect” is what I tell myself now. Yay!
Lots of love,
Jesse
OMG is this ever the perfect letter for today!
So, let’s work ti backward.
I’ll believe it when I see it is the language of decrease. It diminishes the return every sincel time. It’s like saying, Prove it to me! to the Universe.
The Universe is never going to do that for you. It’s never gonna say, I will show you something and then you are going to believe it. The Universe just reflects back to us what we are already focusing on now, what we are already carrying in our hearts now.
What you are seeing now, is always the effect of what you’re believing now. Abraham Hicks says, Beliefs are just a string of thoughts together.
43:00
Keep all of this in mind as you encounter other people with different opinions from you.
You’re asking about manifesting. It’s about you loving the life you’re in and then understand you also want your dream to feel the same way… how do you want to feel when you imagine your dream? Let’s say yum yum yum is how you want to feel. Then how you go around today in your liufe now, you need to feel yum yum yum now.
Feel great while you wait!
It’s not the manifestation that’s the most delightful thing. It’s the buildup. Be excited now, dream your dream. Love your life now, look forward to more.
46:00
I share an example of the Cosmic Deli. Where you are starving, and walk into the deli, and you have to take a number and then you have to wait! That period of waiting can be wonderful and exciting or horrible… it’s up to you. Just know you are creating even then with the energy you’re putting out.
Learn to be excited! Be excited. Practice not being negative in your head. We gotta be willing to feel excited in anticipation. Because that IS the best manifestation possibility.
Don’t get caught in, where is it?! Now I am going to sit and cry and pout because it isn’t here.
48:30
Lots of people worry they will jinx themselves with their negative thoughts and stories. But don’t worry about that.
Keep practicing. You are never being cursed or punished, but you are always receiving exactly what you’re asking for.
I think a lot of us are hung up on being good boys and girls or else the blessings won’t come to us. But that is never in question. We are ALWAYS good in the eyes of spirit. Period.
Everythign that comes to us, comes as we have asked. We are always asking with our thoughts and energies.
50:00
Florence Scovell Shinn and the evidence of little dishes.
Thanks, Jesse! You’re doing great! Stay with your heart and stay in your joy. Spirit knows what’s in your heart, you’ve already launched the request. Now stay in the joy lane. Enjoy your time.

A Course in Miracles Quotes:
There is no such thing as a small upset. All upset is equally disturbing to my peace of mind. — Workbook 5
Therefore, hold no one prisoner. Release instead of bind, for thus are you made free. The way is simple. Every time you feel a stab of anger, realize you hold a sword above your head. And it will fall or be averted as you choose to be condemned or free. Thus does each one who seems to tempt you to be angry represent your savior from the prison house of death. And so you owe him thanks instead of pain. Workbook 192
